[2Corinthians 9:7 ESV] 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
There are three basic areas where we can give from this pure and cheerful heart of devotion in the Kingdom of God. First is in the area of time. We must prioritize our time to make the most of it for Christ because it is limited (Ephesians 5:15-17). Everyone has the same amount of time, where are you spending your time and in what way?
Second is in the area of talent. When you are serving people you are serving Jesus. God has given you gifts and abilities to use in His plan and purpose. Don't ever waste what God has bestowed to you, and do it for His glory in His strength.
The third and final area is that of treasure. As we see, "God loves a cheerful giver." Everything we have is from God. When our heart is right, we will give to support what His church is doing in our own community and all over the world. Be generous, abundant, and joyful in your life through giving. You will be blessed in so many ways!
