"Sanctify them in the truth; Your Word is truth." - Jesus
Pastor Russell did a phenomenal job last Sunday explaining what it means to be sanctified, or set apart, as a special object of God's care and love. This set apart life is becoming more and more like Christ in every way. The way that we can do that, as we observe in this verse, is through His Word, spoken by Him directly in the Bible. Not only can we read His Word and meditate on it through the course of our days, but we will soon begin to recognize His Spirit's still-small voice in our fellowship with Him in our thoughts. If we are becoming thoroughly saturated in His Word, we will find that we are actually cultivating the "mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16)." This is a remarkable opportunity for the believer. He will lead us in the right path, the path of truth, as He sets us apart from the darkness of the world into His everlasting light.
*Life Point* Drench yourself in the Word so that you will be set apart in Christ to avoid being deceived in this world.
