Kaleo Sermon Notes from Sept. 7, Day 2- No Perfect People Allowed, "Transformed Lives"

[John 1:47-49 ESV] 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said of him, "Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit!" 48 Nathanael said to him, "How do you know me?" Jesus answered him, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you." 49 Nathanael answered him, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!"

There was a quick, almost instantaneous, change in Nathanael when he realized that this Messiah knew exactly who he was and what he had been doing. He went from skeptic to worshipper. Have you thought about the fact that Jesus intricately knows you inside and out? The Lord knew his character and his position. He knew beforehand the doubts and uncertainty that Nathanael honestly had.

I've always wanted to be a man like Nathanael. I've wanted to have Jesus look at me and say, "There's a man with no fakeness, lies, or deception." When we think about it, that's a remarkable quality. Come to Christ honest. He can take you and transform you just the way you are!

*Life Point* The God who sees all can remake you with a new spiritual birth.
