Kaleo Sermon Notes from Sept. 14, Day 3- No Perfect People Allowed, "On the Outside Looking In"

[Mar 10:49-52 ESV] 49 And Jesus stopped and said, "Call him." And they called the blind man, saying to him, "Take heart. Get up; he is calling you." 50 And throwing off his cloak, he sprang up and came to Jesus. 51 And Jesus said to him, "What do you want me to do for you?" And the blind man said to him, "Rabbi, let me recover my sight." 52 And Jesus said to him, "Go your way; your faith has made you well." And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.

The point here is that Jesus always hears your pleas and turns the tide. Notice that now the once rebuking crowd turns to support the blind, poor, beggar. Notice that the Christ cares, He knows, and He sees the distressful situation and wants to help. He calls him for a miracle, and Bartimaeus responds with reckless abandon.

God wants YOU too to seek Him out so that He can change your world for the better. Quit making excuses. Throw off your cloak, whatever it may be (common ones include pride, anger, denial, bitterness, etc.), and chase hard after the Savior. He wants to turn the tide!

*Life Point* God knows who I am and wants to change my destiny
