Psalm 98
-Theme: A song of
joy and victory over evil since all who follow God from every part of the earth
will prevail when He judges the wicked of the world.
-Historical Insight: This is an anonymous Psalm much akin to
Psalm 96 in form and content.
-*Application* A joyful noise should be made unto the LORD
for His grace, wonderful things He has done, lovingkindness, and faithfulness
poured out upon His people. He has remembered our plight and has made known His
salvation to the ends of the earth through His Son, Jesus Christ. Instruments
can definitely be used to give Him His glory in this celebration of joy unto
the King. He has overcome evil and has all power and authority (Matthew 28:18,
Revelation 12:11; 17:14). Praise His Name forever realizing He is one day coming
to judge the earth with righteousness and equity. Take solace that one day
everything will be made right!
