Psalm 91
-Theme: God’s
promise of protection when we dwell in His shelter. Although danger is in the
world, God will give His angels charge to overcome evil threats for His people.
-Historical Insight: This is an anonymous Psalm that may
have been written by David in a time of danger, when enemies were seeking his
life and war was a reality.
-*Application* In this world, evil lurks and crouches in
every place and corner. It wants to destroy us. We need God’s protection and
deliverance. Dwell in Him to receive His promises. He is our ever present help
(Psalm 37:39). When trouble threatens you, remember to pray this Psalm.
