Psalm 148
-Theme: Let all
creation exalt and praise the LORD God.
-Historical Insight: This is an anonymous Psalm of praise in
the last book.
-*Application* Notice that everything in existence is
calling out to God in worship during this chapter. What a contemplation. All
that God has created deserves His adoration and glory. “His Name alone is
exalted (Psalm 148:13).” Notice too that He has raised up a Horn for His people
(Psalm 148:14). This is a reference to His Son, Jesus (1 Samuel 2:10, 2 Samuel
22:3, Ezekiel 29:21, Luke 1:69). Yes, all His godly ones can rejoice, both the
grafted in and the sons of Israel, who are a people near to Him (Romans 11:1-26).
Praise the LORD!
