Ezekiel 41
-This chapter depicts the inner Temple area in the vision,
which began in chapter 40. The man with measuring rod brought Ezekiel into the
nave and gave the measurement dimensions of the area declaring it to be “the
most holy place (Ezekiel 41:1-4, 12-15).” Then the wall of the Temple was
measured, and a description of the three stories of chambers was given (Ezekiel
41:5-11). Cherubim and palm trees were the Decorator’s choice in ornate design,
and there were latticed windows on the sides of the Temple’s porch and chambers
with paneled wood (Ezekile 41:16-26). The alter was of wood, which “is the
table that is before the LORD (this is either the table of the Presence, Exodus
25:30, or the altar of incense, Exodus 30:1-3, Ezekiel 41:22).”
-*Application* God is a Designer of beauty and grace. His
Temple will be beautiful, and we are spiritually housing His presence as
believers (1 Corinthians 6:19).
