Bible Study Notes in Psalms- Chapter 119:17-32: Gimel and Daleth

Psalm 119 (Gimel and Daleth)- verses 17-32

-*Gimel Application* Our prayer as servants of the Most High God is for Him to deal bountifully with us, like the Psalmist pleads. We need open eyes to behold Him. We are strangers here who need help with His law, His commandments, His ordinances, His testimonies, and His statutes. We long and hope for openness of sight to His ways that will clear us up in our discernment. He is our counselor with His Word guiding our path through the difficulties and trials of this realm. He takes away our reproach, contempt, and oppression by His grace and mercy as we meditate on all His goodness.

-*Daleth Application* Our God revives us by His Word. He answers our prayers of desperation and grief. He strengthens us according to His Word. He removes our false ways of this world and graciously grants His loving law to replace. We need to choose the faithful way and place His ordinances before us at all times. Cling to His testimonies to avoid shame. As we run the way of His commandments, our hearts will be enlarged with the fruits of His Spirit (Galatians 5:22-25).

Verse to Memorize: Psalm 119:26, 28
